His Holiness, Anantashree Vibhushit Swami Narayana Theerth is Sankaracharya of the Kalikamba peeth, Gangotri. He is from the pristine, unbroken and authentic order of the Sankaracharya tradition that was established by Sri AdiSankara Bhagavatpaada himself.

Footsteps of Loka Guru Shri. Adi Sankaracharya

The primary objective of His Holiness Swamiji has been to follow the footsteps of the great master Sri AdiSankara, and has thus far walked all over the holy land of Bharat-varsha (India), totaling over 4,00,000 kilometers by foot. His aim is to share the happiness of advaita siddhanta with true seekers. He has travelled to Nepal and other countries to sustain & establish Sanatana Dharma.

His Orientation

Swamiji, in his purvashrama, hailed from Krishna Yajurvediya Brahmin family of Apastamba sutra from the southern district of Tamil Nadu. Swamiji has mastered the Krishna Yajurveda upto Ghanantara from Brahmasri Narayana Ghanapati. Swamiji always emphasizes the importance of the Vedas and the Upanishads and Shanmatha upasana as refined and codified by Sri Adi Sankara.

Sanayas & His Guru

Swamiji got his initiation into the holy Sanyasa order from His Holiness Anantasri Swami Niranjana Dev Teerth, the Shankaracharya of Govardhana Peeth, Puri, in the year 1976, on the Mahashivaratri day. Swamiji has been a true disciple of His Holiness Anantasri Abhinava Vidya Teertha Mahaswamin, whom he held with deep veneration, love and respect as a living God on earth.
Swamiji has learnt Taittiriyo Upanishad, Mandukya Upanishad, Chandogya Upanishad, Katha Upanishad etc from various teachers. He has been scholared in Purva Meemamsa and Uttara Meemamsa, Tarka, Nyaya Shastra. Swamiji used to teach the Shastras and vedas to various people. He is a scholar in Transcendental meditation, Kriya Yog, Ashtanga Yog and Raj Yog. He is also a master of Vaashi Yog.
Swamiji was fortunate to learn all the Vedangas and other scriptures from his guru and other great oriental scholars of repute. Swamiji, based on his own first-hand experience, insists liberation is possible through Sanatana dharma and the 6 ways of worship that was codified by Sri AdiSankara Bhagavatpada are the simplest as well as uniquely suited for each seeker.
